Your Privacy at Real Calm 

This page explains how we keep your information safe and private. 

Most Things You Say Stay Private 

Your psychologist keeps your information safe. They do not share it unless there is a good reason. Private information includes: 

  • what you say in sessions 

  • how you are feeling 

  • your personal story 

  • your goals and needs 

When We Share Information 

We only talk to someone else when: 

  • you give consent (say yes), or 

  • you ask us to, or 

  • it helps with your care (for example, telling your GP what supports you), or 

  • we are required by law 

We explain:  

  • what we want to share 

  • why we want to share it 

  • who we share it with 

You can change your mind at any time. 

When We MUST Share Information 

Sometimes we must share information to keep people safe. This happens when: 

  • you are in danger 

  • someone else is in danger 

  • a child is being harmed 

  • a court or law requires it 

  • we must report certain things to child protection services or other agencies 

If we can, we will tell you what is happening. 

Supervision 

Psychologists talk to other psychologists (supervisors) to make sure they are doing good, safe work. Your name and private details are not shared. 

Telehealth 

If we meet online: 

  • we check where you are 

  • we check you have privacy 

  • you can use fidgets, move around or ask for breaks 

Digital Tools & AI 

Sometimes we use safe computer tools to help with things like: 

  • Writing letters 

  • Taking notes 

  • Making resources 

We do not upload your full file. We avoid using information that could identify you. You can ask us not to use AI for your care. 

How Your Information Is Kept Safe 

Your information is stored in secure systems that only Real Calm staff can access. 

Your Rights 

You can: 

  • ask questions 

  • ask to see your information 

  • ask us to correct information 

  • withdraw consent 

  • raise concerns
